Hello, I'm Amy McAbee. This is my tenth year of teaching 2nd grade. I began
my teaching career at South Polk Elementary. I also taught adult GED classes
for three years. I am a life-long resident of Polk County. I graduated from
PCHS. I earned my teaching degree at UTC and I have since earned my Master's
degree and EDS from TTU. We have two daughters at BES. Sadie is in 2nd grade
and Sydney is in the 4th grade.
My mission for my class is that the parents and I work together to help
students develop both academically and socially so that they are prepared
for third grade. I believe it is my job to teach these group of 17 students
the academic standards, but it is my priviledge to know them as individuals.
