Dear Parents,
I am pleased to have your child in my class this year. In order to guarantee your child and all the
students in my classroom the excellent educational climate they deserve, I will tolerate no student
stopping me from teaching or another student from learning. Therefore, I will utilize the following
discipline plan for this school year.
Rules
*Listen carefully and follow directions.
*Work quietly. Do not disturb others who are working.
*Respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.
*Respect school and personal property.
*Work and play safely.
*Obey all school rules.
Positive Recognition
*Praise
*Positive notes
*Reward time
*Tickets for treasure box
*“Freedom Club”
* Fun Friday’s
Consequences
(I keep up with behavior on a behavior bulletin board. Each student has a pocket on the bulletin board,
which contains 5 cards. When a student’s behavior is less than it should be, he or she will be instructed
to pull a card.)
BLUE- I have made SUPER choices, because of my extra effort I have earned special privileges.
GREEN- I have made GOOD choices and with continued effort I’ll move to blue and earn special
privileges.
YELLOW- I have made FAIR choices. This is my last chance. I will have to sign my conduct card and a
“Today’s Don'ts “card will be attached in my agenda book which will need to be signed.
* After 3 entries on your child’s conduct card, a copy will be made, sent home to be signed, and
discussed.
ORANGE- I have made POOR choices. I cannot participate in class activities. I will have to sign my
conduct card again, a “Today’s Don’ts” card will be attached in my agenda book, and I will have to fill
out a THINK SHEET.
PINK - Severe Clause- Sent to Principal
In their agenda book you will be able to track their behavior. It is certainly in your child’s best
interest that we work together with regard to his or her academic and social progress. I will strive to
keep you informed of your child’s progress and I hope that I have your support in return.
