| STUDENT OF THE MONTH:
Every month a student is chosen from our class who displays excellent conduct and work habits. Their
picture is taken and posted along with a write up about the student on a bulletin board in our school.
Our student of the month for November is : Kevin Galeas
Kevin is a very respectable student in the classroom. He is always willing to help the teacher and
others. He always strives to follow the school rules. Great Job Kevin!
Our student of the month for October is: Kyra Keller
Kyra is a wonderful student who is always on task in the classroom, and has wonderful conduct in the
classroom. She strives to do her best in all that she does. Way to go Kyra!
Our student of the month for September was: Mariana Barajas
Mariana is a very sweet little girl who is always willing to help others, and follows the classroom rules.
Mariana shows great effort, and gets along well with others. Great job Mariana!
Communication Alert:
Tuesday folders will go out this week. Please look over all the information
included, sign the back cover, and return it to school with your child.
Accelerated Reading:
Parents, please encourage your child to read and test on AR books each
week.
Research has shown that children, who read for at least 30-60 minutes daily,
read above their age/grade level.
Special incentives will be given in the classroom for students who earn 100% on a selected number of
AR quizzes.
Please keep the following dates in mind:
October 10-13 Fall Break
October 13- Parent-Teacher conferences (4-7 p.m.)
October 24- Field Trip to Children's Museum (Voting Exhibit)
October 29-31- Character Day presentations
