Dear Second Grade Family,
Let's have another happy week with lots of learning.:)
Please remember your 2nd grader will have reading and/or math homework Monday-
Thursday. Be sure to listen to them read and sign math homework.
It's a great way to stay connected and show your 2nd grader that school is an
important part of life. Thank you for all you do.
Sometimes it is difficult to get all of your AR points during this nine weeks
due to snow days, so be sure to curl up with some favorite books at home and
read. I am really proud of the many students that really have the desire to
read now just for the simple fact that it is enjoyable. Remember the more you
read the more you know.:)
Make plans to attend a Valentine's Day program presented by our 2nd grade
"Sweethearts." All 2nd graders will perform in the cafeteria on Tuesday,
February 14 @ 9:00. That afternoon we will visit a couple of retirement homes
and perform as well. More details will be sent home a bit later.:)
Thinking Ahead:
Family Fun and Fitness Night: Friday, April 20
The Family Involvement Committee is looking now for parents who work in any
health, nutrition, or sport related profession. If you would like to help
with a center that night, please let me know. It takes a lot of volunteers to
make this fun & worthwhile event a success.
