Mrs. Boles' 3rd Grade Class

This gives you a general idea of what we will be doing this week!

Math: If you are in Mrs. Boles' math class please go to the Math Class icon to find all the happenings in our math class. If you are in a different teacher's math class please check their website.

Reading: We will read a Valentine's Day novel, Cam Jansen and the Valentine Baby Mystery. We will work on narrative elements, summarize, and main idea with the book. We will take the AR test over the book on Friday after we complete the book. This AR test will also count as the reading test.

English:
We will complete DOL each morning with a quiz on Friday. This is also the time we work on our cursive handwriting.

Spelling: words from the novel - valentine, hospital, mystery, wheelchair, smarter, empty, toothpaste, stopped, rubbed, elevator, sibling, babies, coffee, diapers, guards, garage, signs, delivery, Beth, Mrs. Shelton. The bonus word is: weather.

Science - We will begin chapter 5 - Weather. This week we will focus on that weather takes place in the atmosphere, water cycle, and weather instruments(thermometer, rain guage, barometer, anemometer). The test will not be until Friday, February 24th. I will send the study guide home next week.
