Work for the week of May 9-13:
READING: This week we will finish our 1.5 book and test over the skills.
I will be testing over the vocabulary words on the 1.5 page this week. Please
make sure your child knows all the words.
SAXON PHONICS: We are finally finished with phonics for the year. We will
continue reviewing our rules so we are ready for 2nd grade!
SPELLING: We will test over these words on May 13th. Last test!
White: cool, tool, toot, tooth, booth, boot, read, head, carry, and hours.
ENGLISH:
We will practice verbs again this week. We will decided between go and went,
and is, are, was, were. We will also review nouns, adjectives, punctuation and
capitalization.
MATH:
We will:identify events as certain, likely, or impossible
(probability);Identify hundreds, tens and ones, do fact families, and write
numbers to 500.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
We will be diving into the ocean this week.
