About The Teacher
My name is Diana Wood, and I am excited to be your teacher this year! My husband of 17 years is Ken Wood, and we have 3 children, Isabella, Annie and Sam. I also have a dog named Daisy and 2 cats. My bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education, and my master's degree is in Instructional Leadership. After taking a break from teaching to be with my children while they were young, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom! This school year marks my 11th year of teaching and my fifth year at Capshaw!

Mission
Our class will work together as a team throughout the year. Each child is equally important in our class, and we will work cooperatively to make decisions and solve problems together. It is crucial for every child to be responsible for themselves as a good student and a good citizen in the class. We will strive for academic excellence,as well as, a positive self-concept. One of my favorite sayings... Hard work beats talent EVERY time unless talent works HARD!
