As it is winter time and there is always the possibility of snow, please make
sure your child knows what to do in case of an early dismissal. Please
discuss this with them so that they understand where they are supposed to go
or with whom. Also, the office staff is very busy so please do not call the
school asking about dismissal. You can listen to the local radio stations,
check www.putnamcountyschools.com or go to news Channel 5 to subscribe to
their automated text alert. Often you will know before we know. :)
We are beginning to work at a quicker pace and your child we be held more
accountable for their work. I am expecting more and need to see that they are
working toward 2nd grade. Please encourage your child at home as well. I am
really proud of them and have seen a lot of progress.
