I am a native Cookeville girl who is blessed to have most of my family living
in Cookeville. I attended Capshaw Elementary as a child and have fond memories
of the school. I received a B.S. Degree from Tennessee Technological
University in Early Childhood Education. This is my 18th year teaching. I
taught a K/1st grade class my first year at Jere Whitson School then was
needed at Capshaw due to the larger numbers here. I have taught K, lst, 2nd,
and 3rd grade. My pride & joy is my daughter, Kelsie Joy Smith, who is an
8th grader. I enjoy shopping, walking, working out, playing bridge & other
games, and being with friends and family. It is my pleasure to get to teach
your child.
My mission for our class is to experience learning in a fun, hands-on manner.
