Artist of the Month

Congratulations to Hank Jenkins for being named March's Artist of the Month. Hank is a great artist who works very hard on his art projects. I'm so proud of him!! In this artwork, Hank learned about the Native Americans. He learned that they used the buffalos hide to make coats. Then they would paint pictures on their coats. Hank was asked to create a buffalo robe using brown craft paper and tempera paint. He did a great job!

In this artwork, Hank was asked to draw a close up, profile view of a snowman. Then he used tempera paint to add details like the nose, hat, scarf, arms etc. He then was asked to paint snowflakes with a small brush. Then when he was all done he took some white tempra paint and splattered it on his paper to make it look like it is snowing. He did a wonderful job on this artwork.

In this artwork, Hank learned how to cut a snowflake out of paper.

In this artwork, Hank traced his hand four times. He was asked to divide his backgroung into different sections. Then he colored each section a different color using construction paper crayons. Looks great!
