Just a Reminder . . .

 October 31st – 11:30 dismissal for students

Data Notebooks: Each student in 3 rd , 4th , and 5th grade will have a data notebook.

The notebooks in 3rd grade will contain your child's goal in each subject for each nine week period.

We will also track test grades on a graph so your child can easily see his/her progress.

All this data will be kept in a separate 1 inch black or white binder with tabs in your child's

classroom.
Please send a 1 inch black or white binder and 5-tab insertable dividers by next

Monday so we can get your child's binder set up. If you need help with this, please let me know.

Thanks so much for all of your help!

Grading Policy – Grades will be composed of summative tests (chapter and unit tests);

formative tests (daily grades, quizzes); projects and nine weeks tests. Your child will also be taking mid-term and

final tests this year. Your child will bring home graded papers that must be signed by parents weekly.

Please go over any wrong answers not already corrected on these papers.

Have your child correct any mistakes, sign and return papers to school as quickly as possible (the next day is preferable).

If you need more time for your child to make corrections, please write a note and let me know.

I’ll be glad to work with you on this. ________________________________________________________________________

I am asking parents to periodically donate antibacterial wipes and Kleenex.
