Third Grade Updates
Math:
Third grade started flexible scheduling in math today. This means your child
may have a different math teacher from his/her homeroom teacher. Because math
starts before lunch and is completed after lunch, your child will eat lunch
with his/her math class. You will continue to receive your child's graded math
papers from your child's homeroom teacher in the regular graded work folder.
Data
Notebooks:
Each student in 3rd, 4th ,
and 5th grade will have a data notebook. The notebooks in 3rd
grade will contain your child's goal in each subject for each nine week
period. We will also track test grades on a graph so your child can easily see
his/her progress. All this data will be kept in a separate 1 inch black or
white binder with tabs in your child's classroom.
Please send a 1 inch black or white
binder and 5-tab insertable dividers by next Monday so we can get your child's
binder set up. If you need help with this, please let me know. Thanks so much
