Welcome to 3rd grade!

Third Grade Updates

Math:

Third grade started flexible scheduling in math today. This means your child may have a different math teacher from his/her homeroom teacher. Because math starts before lunch and is completed after lunch, your child will eat lunch with his/her math class. You will continue to receive your child's graded math papers from your child's homeroom teacher in the regular graded work folder.

Data Notebooks:

Each student in 3rd, 4th , and 5th grade will have a data notebook. The notebooks in 3rd grade will contain your child's goal in each subject for each nine week period. We will also track test grades on a graph so your child can easily see his/her progress. All this data will be kept in a separate 1 inch black or white binder with tabs in your child's classroom.
Please send a 1 inch black or white binder and 5-tab insertable dividers by next Monday so we can get your child's binder set up. If you need help with this, please let me know. Thanks so much for all of your help!
