Ask your child to share the Helping Verb song with you. This little jingle contains all 23 helping verbs. Skills for the Week of November 16th:

Academic Vocabulary - Unit Test Friday
Study 2nd 9wks List 1, 2, & 3
English- Action verbs, helping verbs, verb tenses, forms of be, correct subject-verb agreement, irregular verbs
Unit 3 on Verbs will be Tested toward end of week---check Planners nightly
Study folder work & textbook p.120-123
Math- Chapters 6 & 7 All types of Graphs, Mean, Median, Mode, & Range Science- Water Cycle, Weather & Climate
Social Studies-European Colonization ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
1. Project centered around moon phases: be creative 2. Project centered around different types of climate zones. 3. Project relating to the water cycle. 4. Social Studies: History of Chocolate-This sheet has been offered and is available 5. Social Studies: Explorer's Notebook- This sheet has been offered and is available 6. Science: Report on Natural Resources- Use your own resources and be creative. 7. ** Always remember to sign planners nightly and check your child's take home folders. The web page is subject to change according to schedules at school. Things do come up and the schedule of test etc. can change. This is why it is very important to always check your child's planner nightly. It is your child's responsibility to copy all assignments off the board. I go over this with them every afternoon and they are provided a time to record in their planners.
