Ms. Marinda

Dear Families,
We had our “Bee Your Best” kick off on Friday. My class is very excited
about earning Honey Bucks for their good behavior. Please encourage your
child to continue having good behavior.

Grandparent’s Day
Caywood Elementary School is inviting grandparents to eat with their
grandchildren during lunchtime Thursday, September 4th. A form was sent home
last week for you to complete if interested in attending.

Please remember to check your child’s planner daily. All assignments are
written on the board and students are given time throughout and at the end
of the day to copy the assignments to their planners.

Summative Reading Test
This test will include the skills that have been taught over the past few
weeks. Skills include setting (the time and place a story occurs), sequence
(order of events –first, second, finally), antonyms (opposite), synonyms
(same or similar), analogies (hot is to cold as short is to tall), and a few
vocabulary words from the past lists. We will spend time in class reviewing
for this test. Please spend some time at home reviewing these skills and
vocabulary. We will NOT have a new list of vocabulary this week due to the
summative test.

Please feel free to contact me by e-mail (hildenbrandtm@caywood.org), phone
(968-8457) or letter if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Marinda Hildenbrandt and Stephanie Pearson
