VOCABULARY TEST
Students receive their weekly vocabulary list on Monday. They are putting
the list in their green vocabulary folder. We will introduce and spend some
time reviewing these words at school. Please take time to review these words
with your child throughout the week.
SELECTION TEST
Each weekly selection test consists of two parts, vocabulary and
comprehension. Students are expected to identify the definition of the
vocabulary words. However, students are allowed to use their reading book to
locate answers to the comprehension questions.

Nine weeks test are scheduled for the week of September 29 – October 2.
Study guides will be coming home this week. These tests count 20% of the
overall grade for the nine weeks. They are very important!

What’s happening for the week of December 1st

                        Vocabulary Test Friday

Science – Chapter Six

Social Studies – Chapter Five Test Tuesday

**EXTRA PRACTICE - Parents if you would like to review your children over
what we do in class there are some great links on the Caywood homepage. Go
to "C.A.L. Tech" on the left-hand side of the screen. When you are on the
C.A.L. Tech site click on "Links", "Math Enrichment", "Language
Arts", "Reading", "Science", or "Social Studies", just to name a few. This
provides great reinforcement for what they have learned in class.

Please remember to initial your child’s planner daily. All assignments are
written on the board and students are given time throughout and at the end
of the day to copy the assignments to their planners.

MULTIPLICATION – Please continue to work on multiplication with your child.
This is a very important skill that students need to master in order to be
successful in math. I can tell many students have been studying. We have
several masters of multiplication.
