Studies show that students who read often perform higher on standardized
tests than students who do not read very much.
Please encourage your child to read as much as possible. In addition, to
fictional reading, encourage nonfiction as well. Types of nonfiction include:
newspapers, magazines, labels, pamphlets, and even advertisements that come
through the mail. Ask questions to see if he/she is comprehending the
material.
The more your child reads, the better he/she will do on the TCAP test.
