Tuesday, Nov. 3
Homework: Read Math Practice on page 90 and then calculate the
ratios on Table 1-Mendel's Results on page 90.

Wednesday, Nov. 4
Homework: Read pg 92-97, define vocabulary and answer questions
 
Thursday, Nov. 5
No homework. However, if you are going to do the leaf art picture for
extra credit, it is due Tuesday, Nov. 10
 
Friday, Nov. 6
No homework. However, if you are going to do the leaf art picture for
extra credit, it is due Tuesday, Nov. 10

Monday, Oct. 26
We will spend a little time using the tree id books I loaned the students
identifying a leaf we collected on our campus walk before Fall Break.
I will take up the homework on plant tropisms that was assigned last
Thursday and we will continue our discussion of this lesson.
There will be a vocabulary test on chapter 3 Wednesday.
Chapter 3 Test Thursday.
The test will include the words assigned last Tuesday which are:
1) sexual reproduction, 2) asexual reproduction, 3) pollination,
4) fertilization, 5) germination, 6) plantlets, 7) tubers, 8) runners.
Homework: Extra credit Leaf Art pictures, if you chose to do one,
are due tomorrow. Complete the Directed Reading A covering pg. 70-73.
There will be a short quiz on this lesson tomorrow.
October Current Event will be due Monday, Nov. 1 (for 7th grade
only because we will be out of the building on a field trip Friday)

Monday, Oct. 19
We collected leaves from the campus before fall break. We will use
Tree identification books to identify those leaves and demonstrate
how the information in the leaf collections (due Nov. 20) should
be organized.
Homework: Plans for last week were changed and we did not get beyond
the first lesson in the book. If you worked ahead on the assignments and
saved that work, you are ahead on this week's assignments. If not, then
tonight you should read page 66-69, define the vocabulary and answer
the questions.

Tuesday, Oct. 20
Homework: (1) Define these words from pg. 66-69: 1) sexual reproduction,
2) asexual reproduction, 3) pollination, 4) fertilization, 5) germination,
6) plantlets, 7) tubers, 8) runners.
(2) Name and be able to identify the female and male parts of a flower.
(3) Describe the process of sexual reproduction in a flower beginning
with pollination and ending with germination.

Wednesday, Oct. 21
Flower dissection
Homework: complete worksheet if not finished in class; also (due Friday)
read pg 70-73, define vocabulary and answer questions.

Thursday, Oct. 22
Homework: See Wednesday's assignment. Also, study for chapter 3
vocabulary test which will be next Monday or Tuesday (specific date will
be announced today) 

Friday, Oct. 23
Study for chapter 3 vocabulary test which will include the words assigned Tuesday.
