1. This is my 25th year teaching in the Memphis City Schools. This is
my seventh year at Cordova. I taught at Frayser High School for 15 years

the University of Memphis in 2002.
5. I completed my 45 hours above my M.S. in 2003.
6. I coached football at Frayser 15 years. I was the

7. I coached track at Frayser from 1989 to 2002, 12 years. In that time
we won 9 Delta League Championships, 6 Memphis City

8. I coached the Cordova girls track and field team from 2005 - 2009. In
that period, we won the district, city, and sectional championships for the
first time in the school's history.
9. I have been married for 24 years. My wife's name is Blake. We have
two daughters, Sarah, 18, and Katherine, 15. We live in Carrollwood
Lakes.
9. I like to spend time with my family, ride my motorcycle, read, write,
and fish.
My mission for this class is to teach my students to understand and
appreciate all types of literature and art, express themselves effectively
through writing in a variety of settings, and increase proficiency with all
standarized tests, such as the Gateway, ACT, and SAT. Through this
process, I hope my students will learn to accept and meet challenges,
both physical and intellectual, as they learn about themselves and
others.
