chooses the location.
•Discuss the importance of environment to animal homes.
•Comprehension skill: draw conclusions (use what we already know about
something to understand a topic or answer questions).
•Identify the sounds in a word, and associate the sounds with letters to make
words.
•Match pictures with the same beginning sounds.
•Practice segmenting (breaking apart words) and blending sounds to form words.
•Participate in Christmas Around the World with Mrs. Condo & Mrs. Robbins
classes.
•Focus letter: Kk

Notes from Mrs. Shelton:
•We will have our Polar Express Christmas Party on Friday. Your child is to
wear their pajamas and come ready for some fun! Since the cafeteria is
closed that morning, we will be having brunch in the classroom for our
party. If you are interested in helping, e-mail me or send in a note and I
will pass it on to the room moms. Our party typically begins around 9:00 and
we go home around 10:30-10:40.
•PLEASE be on time on Friday—10:40!!!! The traffic gets very congested since
the 1st and 2nd grade are released at 11:00. In addition to that there will
be many cars on our campus for parties. PLEASE be on time or early!
Thanks!!!

Thought for the week:
A kind word can melt even the hardest of hearts. - Unknown

Homework:
•Bring in a small Christmas item from home for Show & Tell. Be prepared to
tell the sound and letter it begins with, and where you go it.
