Welcome back!  I hope that you all had a great fall break.  We have lots of exciting things coming up.

Halloween Party

******Halloween Party- Change of Plans*******

 

We will be starting our party at 1:30.  We will eat first.  If you are supposed to send in refreshments please be sure to have them here before the party begins.  The students will nap until 1:30.  I will start fixing plates and sitting them at the students seats around 1:20.   We will eat and change into costumes between 1:30-2:00. Students may bring their costumes to school; however, they are not allowed to wear any form of costume (including face paint, colored hair,etc.) until the party.  Since it is very important for us to know who is in our school at all time, school rules prohibit adults from wearing costumes at any time, but as always you’re welcome to come at 1:30 and join us for the party.   Pre-K and Kindergarten will parade through the halls at 2:00. 

Dekalb West Harvest Festival

The PTO’s annual harvest festival will be Nov. 14.  Your child has a large manilla  envelope in their folder today that explains what is going on with this.  There will be a silent auction on this night.  Each class is asked to donate a gift basket for the silent auction.  The theme for our class basket is “Family Game Time”.  We will have games, snack foods, anything that would be fun for a family to play on a family game night.  So, that our basket has a variety of items, please send in $1-$3donation by Friday, Nov. 6.  I will purchase the items for the basket that weekend.

Please remember to put ALL money sent to school in an envelope with your child’s name, grade, my name, amount of money and what it is for.  KEEP LUNCH MONEY SEPARATE FROM ALL OTHER MONEY.
