What are AR points?
AR stands for Accelerated Reader. These books are avaliable in the library,
my classroom, and the public library. They are just library books that have
a comprehension test to go along with it. This will help boost your child's
reading comprehension. Each child is tested three times during the year to
find their readability level. AR books should be checked out according to
the student's reading level. I will give them their levels each time they
are tested. Five points are due the first and second nine weeks. Seven
points are due the third nine weeks, and ten points are due the last nine
weeks.

What does change my card mean?
Each time a student breaks one of the misbehavior consequences or fails to
do the assigned work, they move their clip on spot. Everyone starts on a
green. Following the first offense a warning is given, the second
offense free time, the third offense gets no snack, no free
time, and either a note home or a write off of spelling words or times
tables. At the end of each day, everyone goes back to the green card.

When may I call you at school?
My planning time is 9:10-10:10 each day. 536-5332
If you would like to speak to me, this is the only time I will be able to
speak to you. Just leave a message in the office if you need me to call you
back.
