About The Teacher

My name is Sheila McMillen.  I am so happy to be your child's teacher this 
year.  Children are very important to me and to all who work at DeKalb West 
School.  This is my 16th  year of teaching. I have taught at DeKalb West for 
the last 12 years.  I taught 3 years at New Middleton Elementary School.  It 
is my privilege to work with you and your child. Please let me know if you 
have any questions or concerns about your child's education.

Mission For Our Second Grade Classroom

Our class mission is based on the NED principal.  During each day at DWS, we 
will work hard and strive to learn all that we can as we NEVER GIVE UP, 
ENCOURAGE OTHERS, and DO OUR BEST!  If we can do this, there is no stopping 
us!!!
