Mr. Don Page
Mr. Page is retired from NASA and
works as a tour guide volunteer.
Since he was touring a group of
teachers on this trip, he brought
his wife, who is a retired
teacher. |

Vehicle Assembly Building
It was actually planned for us to
tour this building. Something
unexpected happened within the
building on the morning on our
tour, and they decided to it was
too dangerous for us to visit the
VAB. |

Bunkers
In the event that there is a flaw
with a flight mission, the crew
memebers are suppose to slide
down onto the launch pad and run
into these bunkers. From this
angle, it is hard to tell that
these bunkers are actually a
great distance from the launch
pad. |

|
Cameras
Since the closest viewing site of
a launch is a few miles away,
cameras are set up in hopes of
getting the best view possible of
the takeoff. |

Discovery Flight STS-124
This is a photograph that I took
from our viewing site. Notice the
white cloud that the shuttle
leaves behind. We were informed
to watch that cloud because if
the particles fell on you it
would make your skin burn. |
