I am originally from California, but have lived in Tennessee for over four
years now. I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from San Diego
State University, and earned a Master's degree in Secondary Education
Mathematics from Tennessee Tech University. I am a member of the National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). I have been married for 3 years in
August.My husband is also a teacher in Putnam County.
I LOVE math! It's what I enjoy, and I enjoy sharing that with others, thus
the whole teacher thing. :) I know most of you (my students) probably don't
feel the same way. Your favorite subject may be history, or
science. That's fine. What I do expect is that you will try your best. I
also expect you to refrain from making statements like "I hate math" or "I'm
just not any good at this." You ARE capable of doing well in math, and as
long as you try your best, you will succeed!
