Hello DMS 6th grade students and parents! Welcome Back to School! My name is
Angie Westbrook Hewett and I am excited to begin teaching sixth grade
Reading. I began teaching at Dresden Elementary School and moved to Dresden
Middle School in 2008. I graduated from Dresden High School in 1985 and from
the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1989. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education and am qualified to teach Language Arts through the 8th
grade. I am married to Scott Hewett, who is the assistant principal and head
football coach at Dresden High School. We have 2 children, Jamie and
Matt.Jamie is married and now lives in Nashville with her husband, Samuel.
Matt attends UT Martin where he is a junior. We have two pets: our dog,
Gaylord, and our cat, Rory, are very special members of our family. I attend
Lebanon Church of Christ. I love animals and being outdoors! I enjoy reading,
yard work, watching sports, and going to the beach. I look forward to a great
year at DMS!
