What is your grading policy?

EVERYTHING is taken for a grade. All grades have the same
weight. (A test will count the same as any other assignment.) I
do not drop any assignments. However, students have the chance
each and every day to get bonus points through an activity
called "Bell Work."

What is Bell Work?

Students have a short review or extension activity to complete
every day when they walk into the room. This activity normally
takes about 5 minutes of the first part of class. We go over the
answers and students can often get points for either getting
correct answers or by contributing to the classroom discussion.
Students then keep a log of these points to be added to a low
assignment at the end of the six weeks. This basically allows
students to earn the "dropped" grade instead of it just given to
them.

How can I prepare for a test or improve my test scores?

Students are given study guides with each chapter. They are
given these normally a week in advance. Get started on that
early and look up all of your answers. Once you have completed
that study guide, get a family member to quiz you from that study
guide. You may also want to look at past assignments that we
have completed from that Chapter. Sometimes your test questions
come from those assignments.

Will I recieve full credit on an assignment in which I am given a skills lab?

You will recieve a zero for any assignment that is referred to
the skills lab whenever you do not complete your homework.
