If you are not a member of the PRIDE Club (our parent support organization), you may contact the school office about how you can be a part of that program. The PRIDE Club assists our school in many areas, from providing food for our honorees and their parents at our Leader of the Month recognition programs to purchasing Kleenex for students to use to paying for bus transportation to events such as the UTM basketball game for Weakley County students in the fall and the movie reward day for students with good behavior and good attendance.
We are a Title school, which means we receive federal dollars that allow us to offer more services to our students. That money has been used for technology purchases, agendas and an additional teaching position as well as additional educational assistant positions. We will have a meeting on May 9 at 5:30 for our planning session for our Title funds for next fall. This is a change from the originally scheduled date. All parents are invited to attend that meeting and provide input.
There are great things going on at DMS and we envision even greater things in the future.
