The Frog is Exposed! The frog dissection is the envy of every science student. This is a bullfrog. The black and white things are eggs in a female. You can also see the yellow fat bodies, ample intestines, the liver and some of the stomach that it partially covers. |

The worm is very interesting The students really love to dissect the earthworm. Even though it is a simple creature, the kids get a kick out of it. |
Cutting the frog Anticipation.... |

An empty stomach In about 1 in every 4 stomachs a surprise can be found, usually a beatle. But nothing here. |
Cutting up the arm of the starfish Notice the radial symmetry. |

Taking out the lens from the cow's eye |
The crayfish! The crayfish is a nice dissection. Not too messy like the starfish and lots of nice things to see. They have a little, muscular abdomen or tail, like a little lobster. They can be bought in the grocery, prepared properly, and eaten at home. |

Mr. Long uses the flex camera to show how to dissect I have always liked to use the camera to show dissections and other small details of other labs upon occasion. |
Examining the mouth Students are to examine all features possible before cutting open specimens. |

Great internal view! A fetal pig has many of the same organs as humans. |
These girls are dangerous! |

This student shows the intestines The students I had in my lone biology class loved all the dissections they did. I let them have a little fun. This student took it up himself to see how long the intestines were. |
Pig Brains! One of my best students took up the task of removing the brain intact. |
