This is my 5th year at East High School. I have taught for 18 years in
the Memphis City Schools. The first 11 were at Hamilton High, the next 2 at
Treadwell, and the last 5 years at East. I have found the environment at
East enjoyable with many of the students yearning to learn. My mother and
father were both teachers. I believe growing up in that environment
influenced my decision to teach. The experiences with the students at these
schools have taught me many things and I have many wonderful memories of the
students that I have taught.
It is my hope to impart a basic knowledge of chemistry to every student and
to help them along the path of their lives. Students may not remember some of
the theory that I teach, but they will remember some of their lab experiences
in my chemistry class the rest of their lives.
