This week 11-30-09:
1. Social Studies Chapter 10 Test (txtbk pgs 326-343) will be Friday (as
well as Math 4 Today Quiz 17).
2. Multiplication Facts Quiz on Wednesday- 9s. The quiz will be timed - 1
minute. Your child has 2 review sheets inside his/her Take-Home Folder.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO REVIEW/PRACTICE OVER THE BREAK USING SOME OF
THE STRATEGIES BELOW. Learning multiplication facts is essential to
mathematic success as well as a vital life skill :). Please help your child
succeed by practicing with them.
Please encourage your child to practice their tables at home. Here are some
helpful methods:
**using flashcards
**writing their tables
**reviewing practice quiz-timed if possible :)
**oral quizzing (parent, sibling, friend needed for this)
**visit "LINKS" tab for fun internet games to practice multiplication facts.
3. State Abbreviation/Capitals Quiz over the 35 states/capitals we have
learned thus far will be on Wednesday (no new capitals added this time) They
have a practice/study guide they can take home to review inside their Take-
Home Folders.
4. Math 4 Today Quiz 17 on Friday.
The review sheet will come home with your child in his/her Take-Home Folder
on Friday. A great way to study for this quiz is to have your angel re-work
each of the example problems on the study guide to be sure they understand
and are able to solve correctly. They will have all the correct answers on
the study guide as we review these each day in class.
