When would be the best time for me to schedule doctor appointments?
If possible, schedule doctor appointments after lunch. The best day would
be
on Tuesday. They have art and music on Tuesdays. Therefore, they will have
less work to make up.

We are going on vacation next week. Can I get my child's work early?
I do not like to give work out ahead of time. I have planned what we are
going to do in the weeks to come. However, we do not always get to what I
have planned due to interruptions and student understanding. Therefore, I
like to give them the work they missed when they return. They have three
days to make up the work missed but I will give extra time for special
circumstances.

My child was absent today. Do I need to come get their work today?
No, your child can pick up his/her work when they return to school. If they
have been out more than three days, you may want to call me. I do not like
to gather their work if they have only been out a couple of days. I like to
be able to go over the work with them. It also is a hassle for me to gather
all books, papers, and workbooks for your child while I am in the middle of
class. It is just easier for your child and me to wait until they return.
Remember: They have three days from when they return to turn
absent work in.

What day do we send lunch money and snack money?
MONDAY! MONDAY! MONDAY! Please send all money on Mondays (or the first
day
of the week). This way I know when to expect money from your child.
Remember: Please send two separate checks or envelopes because I have to
send the money to two different places.

Can parents go on field trips?
Most of the field trips we go on are limited seating or small rooms.
Therefore, we can usually handle the class on our own. We do encourage
parents to go on the last field trip of the year. We go to the zoo. Many
parents go with us and bring other siblings. It is a nice family day.

Do you need help in the classroom?
Yes, I am always needing people to come and work with students on skills or
projects. If you would like to volunteer, please send me a note of days and
times that will work with your schedule. Also, please tell me how you would
like to help.

How much is lunch and ice cream?
Lunch is $2.25 per day. I prefer lunch to be paid on Mondays.
Ice cream is $.50. Please pay this on a daily basis.
