Have your child write each spelling word 5 times. |

|
|
|
Have your child give you the spelling test. |

|
|

Practice writing on dry erase or chalk boards, tracing words on someone's back, or use magnetic letters. |

|
|
|
Use games such as Hangman or tic-tac-toe to practice. |
|
|
|
|
Pour sugar, flour, or corn meal into a shallow bowl. Have your child "write" their words in it. |
|
|
|
|
Use colored shaving cream to write spelling words on a waxed sheet of paper. |
|
|
|
|
Go on a scavenger hunt. Hide the words in your house on Post-it notes. Have your child look for them and then write them down. |
