Reading Groups

                            
    Shortly after school starts your child will be bringing home daily readers and a reading log each night. It is imperative to your child's reading success that you make the time to read this book with him/her no less that 3 times each night. We are not just aiming for word identification with this skill, we are striving for fluent (smooth/uninterrupted) reading from your child. As a parent of a Stuart Bulldog, I too have had to make this part of my family's routine. I have found that my child looks forward to this time when she gets my undivided attention. It has also helped make her a confident reader. Please make this a meaningful routine in your home as well.


        It is an investment that promises great returns.
