What is the grading scale?

A  =   93 - 100
B  =   85 -  92
C  =   75 - 84
D  =   70 - 74
F  =   69 and below

How do I make-up missed assignments?

Only excused absences will be allowed to make-up any missed assignments.  
Students will have to make-up quizzes and tests outside of class (before or 
after school).  It is the student�s responsibility to see me to schedule an 
appointment.  Consult the student handbook regarding the time frame allowed.

What is the homework policy?

Students will be expected to do work outside of class daily.  To be of value, 
homework MUST be completed on time!  For each day late, the grade 
automatically loses 50% for each day!  For example, if a student turned in a 
100-point essay one day late, the highest grade he/ she could receive would 
be a 50% F.  Therefore, it is very important to turn homework in when it is 
due.

What is the policy for cheating?

The penalty for cheating is severe.  Cheating occurs when you are looking 
somewhere other than your own paper. Cheating will result in an automatic 
zero. Plagiarism is one particular form of cheating that is actively 
addressed in English classes.  Consult the student handbook for more details 
on this topic.
