Hello, my name is Mrs. Cancasci. I graduated from Tennessee State
University in May of 2003 with my teaching degree. After Graduation I began
to sustitute teach. I completed numerous long term substitute assignments
and was hired as an interium teacher in the fall of 2005 at Head to teach
6th grade Science. I was hired as a full time teacher for the 2006-2007
school year and been teaching 6th grade Science and Social Studies at Head
ever since. I am married to a wonderful, supportive husband and have three
adorable children.
All students are capable of learning. It is the duty of the teacher to make
learning easy and enjoyable. It is the student's responsibility to attempt
to learn what is taught. Every student deserves an education. Teaching is
not just about academics but also teaching students about morals, self-
esteem, leadership skills, independence, reliance, trust, and themselves as
people. Teachers must set a leadership role with students, someone students
can follow and learn from. Teachers must also develop a relationship with
parents, one of mutual understanding for the student's well-being and
education.
