TN ECONOMIC COUNCIL-DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 14, 2009. The Tennessee Economic Council on Women will offer six $1,000 scholarships, two from each Grand Division of the State, in October at the Tennessee Women's Summit. Three of the Scholarships will be for 2010 high school seniors and three will be given to women who are re-entering college. TSAC BULLETIN & SCHOLARSHIP INFO: Deadlines: various-see below - The 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for completion at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov . Any student planning to receive the TN HOPE scholarship must complete the application by SEPTEMBER 1, 2009.

Beyond the HOPE scholarship, below are several other TSAC administered programs with approaching deadlines.

DEPENDENT CHILDREN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: Eligible students will be a dependent child of a law enforcement officer, fireman or emergency medical technician who was killed in the line of duty or permanently disabled in the line of duty while employed in Tennessee. Applications can be completed at www.tn.gov/collegepays. Applications, required documentation, and a completed FAFSA must be received by TSAC no later than JULY 15, 2009.
