I am a graduate from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Home Economics
and a BS and Master's Degree in Education. I have also had an additional 45
hours of Post Graduate work. I have taught school for 29 years beginning in
Kindergarten to my present Third Grade position. I come from a family of
teachers and I'm very proud to be a Tennessee public educator!
I have been married to Jim Hines for 35 years and have one son, Matt. I also
have 2 cats, Nibbles and Charlotte, and 1 dog named Caius. I love to read,
grow vegetables and flowers, and do things with my family and my Bethel
Presbyterian church family. I am also active in the Roane County Historical
Society and I am learning lots about the history of Roane.

My classroom goal is to help third graders become excited, responsible,
independent learners.
My educational goal is to continue to provide students with new and exciting
approaches to learning. I will remain available to parents and will help
students move forward in their learning.
