The last few weeks have been very busy. The students did a great job on all
of the testing. We returned to a regular schedule last week and we will work
very hard to learn several more important skills to get ready for second
grade. I am very proud of the progress this class has made this year.
On Thursday we released our five butterflies into nature. We enjoyed
watching them grow from tiny caterpillars and forming chrysalids. After
about 12 days in the pupa stage the butterflies emerged. Thanks so much to
the Knop family for the gift card to Teach A Child which made this all
possible for our classroom to experience.
Our last field trip will be on May 13th. The first grade classes will see
Carlottes's Web at the Children's Theatre on this day. A field trip note
with the details will come home this week. Field trip notes and money are
due by May 12th. Each class will only be able to have two parent chaperones
due to the reservation.
Have a great week and a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms!!!
