The homework assignments are written on the board for the students
to copy in their planners each day. The assignments will also be on this
site daily except when I am absent or the system is down. Please check your
child's planner daily to see if they are writing their assignments in the
planner.

Today, we had a swap day with 3rd grade to introduce them to the 4th grade
teachers. Our students went back to see their 3rd grade teachers for a few
minutes.
We had annual signing time and extra recess.
Tomorrow is our HABITS time and our 4th grade picnic. The picnic is at 11:35
and parents are welcome to come.

We are not having classes any this week.
Today was Career Day, and the students enjoyed hearing from the different
speakers about what they do each day in their jobs. Thanks to all the parents
who gave their time to come today.
We also went to the A.R. bookstore for the last time this year. Remember to
encourage your child to read this summer.
I did a book inventory today. If you child still has any textbooks at home,
please send them to school tomorrow.
We also had an hour of recess today to make up for the lost time of field day
due to the stormy weather. The students enjoyed this, but it was quite hot!!

chapter 14 in the old book. This is about the Civil War. We
then read and discussed lesson 3 on pages 520-527.

There were no classes today due to part of Mrs. McDonald's, Mrs. Grizzard's,
and Mrs. Maness's classes going on the field trip to the Hermitage. I was
very pleased with this week's and last week's docent groups. They did a
fantastic job and represented Lakeview very well. Thank you for all your hard
work!!!!
I also would like to thank all of the students for the hard work they did on
the Living History projects. All of you did an excellent job at the program
last night!!!

for these pages. They will finish these on Monday. I gave

assigned a person in history to each child. They will be
working in groups on this project, but each person should
do research on their own. The research paper that I gave to
