Assignments for the weeks of November 30-Dec. 4
Hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday. Only 3
more weeks until Christmas break, but they will be important ones so stay
focused and finishe 2009 STRONG.
BOOK SUMMARY PROJECT DUE FRIDAY, DEC. 4. This has been assigned for several
weeks and it must be in on the due date for you to receive a grade for this
work.

IF STUDENTS ARE OUT DUE TO SICKNESS THEIR MAKEUP WORK IS DUE BASED ON THE
NUMBER OF DAYS THEY ARE ABSENT. EX: OUT ON MONDAY, RETURN ON TUESDAY, WORK
WILL BE DUE ON THURSDAY.
SPELLING: New words were given on Tuesday, Nov. 24. The next written test
will be Friday, Dec. 4th. Monday night homework will be spelling workbook
page 42. STUDY YOUR WORD LIST NIGHTLY SO YOU WILL BE READY FOR THE FRIDAY
WRITTEN TEST.
READING: This week we will begin unit 3 in our book. The first story is
titled "Wings for the King." Skills taught and practiced this week will
be:Author's Purpose, Context Clues, how to read an advertisement, and story
vocabulary. The quiz over this story will be Friday, Dec. 4th.
Tuesday night HOMEWORK will be to write 5 sentences with this week's
vocabulary words. These words and their definitions can be found on page 102
in your reading practice workbook. Homework Thursday night is to re-read the
story in preparation for the Friday quiz.
