After graduating from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, I moved to MS
where I taught 6th grade in a very small private school. I fell in love with
teaching. However, my inner cowgirl began calling, so I followed my heart to a
dude ranch in Colorado, where I worked on a four-diamond guest resort for five
years. In the fall of 2007, I returned to Lebanon and college at Trevecca
Nazarene University. While working on my degree, I filled various positions
within LSSD. After graduating with my Masters degree in Elementary Education
in May of 2009, I accepted a kindergarten position. I love watching the
transformation during this pivotal year of school. I have enjoyed being in my
own classroom again and am thrilled to get to teach at Castle Heights this year!

Mission for the Class:

My hope is that the children in my classroom will feel safe and confident. I
want to develop a love and excitement for learning in each of them through a
hands-on approach. I desire our class to be a very positive environment
that they look forward to entering on a daily basis.
