We are off to a great start to the new 6th grade year. Students are learning the rules and expectations of
6th grade and they are doing a great job.
Just a few reminders, I need to make sure I have all parents' email addresses. I will be communicating
through email this year, you can also contact me through email at brucea@k12tn.net. Also, for my
homeroom Keep up the good job of signing the agenda daily. Also, for my homeroom I send a take-
home-folder weekly, on Tuesday. There is a weekly progress report that is to be signed by the parent
and sent back in the folder.
I will be posting a WEEKLY problem solving outside my classroom and on this web page. How will this
work? The student will be given all week to solve the problem. It is a lateral thinking problem. They
may have help from parents. When they think they know the answer there will be a box in my room for
them to submit the answer. I will draw from the box on Friday morning. The first name with the
CORRECT answer will be allowed to have lunch with a friend in the classroom. I will post the answer on
Monday to the last weeks problem. I will also post a new weekly problem!
HAPPY PROBLEM SOLVING!!!!
