Welcome! Here is a little info about me...I graduated from Tennessee Tech
University in December of
2006. I worked in Nashville as a preschool teacher for about 8 months
before being offered the 3rd
grade position here at Coles Ferry. This is my fourth year as a teacher here. I grew up in Lebanon
and actually
attended Coles Ferry from 1st-5th
grades. So, it is just like being at home again!
School has always been something that I enjoyed and loved. I can remember
in 1st grade saying that
when I grew up I wanted to be a teacher....even at that age I
knew wanted to teach children and make a difference in their lives.
I have several hobbies, but one that I focus on the most is scrapbooking. I
love to collect all kinds of
scrapbooking materials and fun things to make projects or cards, etc. I am
a pretty crafty person so
anything to do with art makes me happy! I also like to collect butterflies. Butterflies have a special
personal meaning to me and my family. I enjoy mission work. I have
been to Mexico and Brazil doing mission work including VBS, construction, and teaching English.
Two summers ago, because I loved
Brazil so much, I went back and lived there for a little over a month teaching English through the
Bible and learning the Portuguese language. This is
something that has truly changed my life forever. Touching the lives of
children in other countries is
just as rewarding!
My heart belongs in the teaching profession. My personal goal is to provide a great
education and as much guidance as needed to every child possible.
My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on June 13th. Josh and I
are expecting our first child in April and hope to have an even bigger family in the future. I also have
a very
BIG
family and love it! I don't know where I would be today without the people in my life who I love
dearly and who have guided me every step of the way.
I am a person of
good morals who has high expectations, but am also very laid-back and
relaxed.
I am so excited to be working here and can't wait to see what this
year of teaching holds for the 2010-2011 third grade class! :)
To provide a proper education for each and every child in my classroom to
carry with them throughout
their entire career.

had, nor what your clothes were like. But the world may be a little better because you made a
difference in the life of a child." - Anonymous
