What day will my child begin school?

We will begin home visits in August 3 - 7th. You will receive a phone
call to set up a day and time for our visit. At the home visit
you will choose a day for your child to come to Phase-in;. Phase-
in are days that 4 - 5 children will come and get an idea of what
happens in our class on a daily basis. I will be testing the
children too to see where to begin their individualized
learning. All children will begin school August 17th.

What time does school start and end?

Our class begins at 8:00 and ends at 1:30. Children may be

Where do I drop my child off when I bring them to school?

It is a state law that preschool children be signed in/out of
school so children can not be dropped off. An adult must bring
your child to the classroom and sign them in. Be sure to let
friends and relatives know who may be dropping off your child or
picking them up that they will need to sign them in/out.

Does my child need to bring food for snacks or meals?

No. All food is provided by the school system. We provide well
balanced meals for both breakfast and lunch.

What does my child need to bring to school? Do they need supplies?

Children need to bring a backpack, change of clothes, and a small
towel or blanket for quiet time. We will provide a folder to be sent home each
day with important information, notes from the teacher/school,
and your child's artwork. It is very important that you check
their folder because it lets you know what they have learned at
school and it gives us a way to communicate things happening with
your child.

Can I come to eat/visit/help in my child's class?

Yes. Parents or other family members are always welcome. If you
would like to eat a meal with us, please let me know so I can get
an extra meal for you when I order our meals. We always need an extra hand
in helping the children at our center time each day and this is a good time for
you to see what your child can do and how they interact with other children and teachers.

abide by their dress code. Please check your Preschool Handbook
for details.

How will I know if school is closed?

Our schedule for school openings and closings go along with the
Lebanon Special School District. If there is bad weather please
check your local television station and if "Lebanon City Schools"
are closed we are closed. School holidays are the same as the
school districts too. We will always let you know our schedule
with our monthly calendar and newsletters.
