Think and Talk Time:
The following are questions you may ask your child at home about what he or she is learning:
1. What did you read about today?
2. What is something you are thankful for?
3. What season is it? How do you know?
4. What are some words beginning with the letter H?
Focus Letter and Concepts:
We will spend our short week reviewing the letters of the alphabet through games and music. Following our Thanksgiving break, we will learn
more about the letter H through through our floppy hat sound sort, playing a horse game, and drawing our hair in the morning.
Parent/Child Time:*
Play a Thanksgiving memory game. Begin by telling what you will eat on Thanksgiving day. Ask your child to repeat what you said you would
eat and add what he or she would like to eat. Continue adding to the Thanksgiving menu, but name all previous foods as well.
Ask your child to draw a picture of his or her favorite season. Finish by labeling the items in the picture and asking your child to help you with
the beginning sound of each word. Enjoy!
