About The Teacher

This is my ninth year teaching.  I am a graduate of Western Kentucky 
University and Middle Tennessee State University.  I have my bachelor's 
degree in Early Childhood and my master's degree in Reading and an additional
30 hours of training.    I have been married for seven years.  David and I
have one daughter named Isabel and a dog named DeWayne.  I attended school at
Byars-
Dowdy Elementary and Lebanon High School.  I love to read and hope to 
instill that love with the children I teach.  I enjoy cooking and also 
playing golf.

Mission For The Class

It is my goal as a teacher to create a loving and positive learning 
environment in which my students will feel safe to grow and try new things.  
I will provide continuing opportunities for each child to be 
successful in order to obtain the skills needed in their communities and the 
world around them.  Most of all, I want to instill a love of reading and 
help each child to discover the enjoyment that reading can bring along 
with the importance of learning to read.
