What day will my child begin school?

We will begin home visits the week of July 28. You will receive a phone
call to set up a day and time for our visit. At the home visit you will
choose a day for your child to come to "Phase-In". Phase-in are days that
4 - 5 children will come and get an idea of what happens in our classroom on
a daily basis. I will be testing the children to see where to begin their
individualized learning. All 20 children will begin school on August 11.

What does my child need to bring to school? Do they need supplies?

Children need to bring a backpack, change of clothes, and a small towel or
blanket for quiet time. A folder will be sent home each day with important
information, notes from the teacher/school, and your child's artwork. It is
very important that you check their folder because it lets you know what
they have learned at school and it gives us a way to communicate with you.

Where do I drop my child off when I bring them to school?

It is a state law that preschool children be signed in/out of school so
children can not be dropped off. An adult must bring your child to the
classroom and sign them in. Be sure to let friends and relatives know who
may be dropping off your child or picking them up that they will need to
sign them in/out.
