Pre-K Report
Monday, November 23 and Monday, November 30
Notes for Home:
Thank you so much to all the parents and grandparents that joined us on our field trip to the Park last
Thursday! We sure do appreciate all you do!
I also want to thank everyone that contributed a snack during our color and shape weeks! The children
had a great time guessing what their snack was going to be each day!
Mrs. Christy and I want you to know how truly blessed we are to have the opportunity to work with your
children each day. We hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!

We will spend our short week reading about being thankful and the Thanksgiving holiday. When we

Focus Letter and Concepts:
This week we will be reviewing the alphabet, reading alphabet books, and singing alphabet songs to
continue to help us learn our letters. Following our Thanksgiving break, we will learn more about the
letter F through our letter F sound sort, catching fish that have pictures that start with the letter F, and
sorting animals with feathers and fur.
Make Believe Play:
We are continuing our study of restaurants. This week all six centers will open: drive thru, dine-in
restaurant, a pizza parlor, an ice cream and candy shop, a fast food restaurant, and a school cafeteria.
Parent/Child Time:
Play a Thanksgiving memory game. Begin by telling what you will eat on Thanksgiving Day. Ask your
child to repeat what you said you would eat and add what he or she would like to eat. Continue adding
to the Thanksgiving menu, but name all previous foods as well.
