Pre-K Report
Monday, November 9
Notes for Home:
As colder weather approaches, please be sure to send your child to school in appropriate clothing for
outside play. We will be going outside each day as long as the temperature is above 40 degrees.
Thank you for your help in this matter!
Please make plans to attend our next Pre-K Family Night on Thursday, November 19 from 5:00-6:30
p.m. We will be focusing on healthy choices and literacy! Reservations are required for this event. Please
return the note we sent home last Thursday indicating that you will be able to attend so we can prepare
for this wonderful opportunity for you and your child!
Theme Time:
Our restaurant theme in our make believe centers is well underway! The children are enjoying playing
roles such as the customer, cashier, server, chef, hostess, dishwasher, and manager. Make sure you
ask your child about each of the centers and what scenarios they are acting out each day.
We will continue reviewing colors this week. Students will learn to categorize the colors into the basic
primary and secondary color categories. We will also be discussing the colors we see around us. We are
asking that your child wear the color that we are focusing on each day.

Focus Letter and Concepts:
We will be learning more about the letter D. We will learn what sound D makes and words beginning
with D through sorting donuts, playing number dominoes, and reading about dinosaurs!
Parent/Child Time:
Play the Color Touch game with your child. Take turns touching different colored items at home. As
you touch a new item, you must first touch all the previous items in order and name their colors-this is
a great spatial memory game. Enjoy!
