Focus Letter and Concept

This week, we read many different Christmas stories and sung many different Christmas songs. Each day, we have been counting down the number of days until Santa will be here.

As we’ve prepared for the Holidays, we have also made special Holiday gifts, written letters to Santa, made gingerbread play doh and made Rudolph Reindeers and cookies with our Lebanon High School S.T.A.R.S. buddies.

Our letter of the week was letter “Gg”. We talked about the sound that “Gg” makes, things that begin with the letter, and met our letter friend, Gus the Goat.  In addtion, we completed our Gg letter tub, played red light, green light during recess, sorted gifts and gummy bears, and threw away garbage that did not resemble the letter “Gg”, Our nursery rhyme this week, was entitled Georgie Porgie.

Make Believe Play Concept

As we continue to build on our roles as restaurant characters, we are developing our methods of play planning. Each Monday, you receive a play plan that your child has developed, to share with you at home. Please review your child’s play plan each week as they are sent home.

Parent and Child Time

Each day, we create a morning message and answer a mystery question. Ask your child to share the morning message and the mystery question of the day.

Describe things that begin with Gg and have your child guess what they are.

Ask your child what sounds Gg makes.

Play your favorite board game with your child.

Discuss the type of garbage that can be recycled and the type of garbage that must be sent to the dump. If you have paper or aluminum cans, you can bring them to school to put in our recycling bin.
